Whenever you think about canopy tents, it’s likely you think about covering objects outside to protect them from the weather; things like snowmobiles, cars, tractors, ATVs, toys etc.  However, canopy tents can also be used to protect people.  When protecting people, they are often referred to as party tents, event tents or even screen house tents.  But they are basically the same thing.  They

both put a roof over something that needs to be protected from mother nature.  Canopy tents are available in many different sizes, shapes, colors and prices.  They also are available with different features such as side walls and screens to keep out the bugs.  They can be used to help you celebrate weddings, graduations, and other special events with loved ones.  They can even be used by your hunting party this fall to celebrate the weekend hunt.  Screened canopy tents can provide excellent protection from bugs at night when you and your buddies are gathered near the campfire beside your tent, having a few beers and cleaning ducks, geese or pheasants.

Designed for durability, functionality, and portability, the Swiss Gear Smart Shade 10-by-10-foot Screen House sets up and folds down in minutes. Lightweight and easy to carry, the screen houses tubular steel frame is strong enough to provide a rigid shelter that withstands strong winds.

Most people think of Canopy Tents as shelter and shade for objects like boats, snow mobiles, jet skis, and tractors which is exactly what they are made for.   Believe it or not, people aren’t the only ones that need shade.  Objects exposed to lots of

sun can cause them to fade over time.  Even camping tents can fade when exposed to lots of sun.  But most canopy tents are made of a special material that is resistant to the sun and they last longer.

Some canopy tents are used as party tents or event tents to provide shelter and shade for people.   These canopy tents can vary is size and price depending on how much area you need to cover.

If you need a really big canopy tent you should look into the King Canopy® Hercules 18′x20′ Canopy or the ShelterLogic 12×30 12 Leg Canopy tent in the picture.

Don’t test your luck, get a pop up canopy

Not every event requires a pop up canopy for protection from the shade or rain.  Many of us test or luck and do just fine.  For example, last night my son Ryan graduated from Hennepin Technical College with a 2 year degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Ventilation.  When the ceremony was over, my wife Kay and I took some pictures with Ryan and us, Ryan and his girl friend Fallon, his sister Lisa and her boy friend Josh.  We all went to TGI Fridays and had a wonderful dinner.  When the dinner was finished, I wrote $17.59 on the bottom of a napkin as this was going to be the amount of the Bob Kay and Ryan on his Graduation Daytip I was to give the waitress for a $108 dollar meal.  When the waitress returned with the final check, I offered her an opportunity to guess the amount on the napkin and if her guess came within $2, plus or minus the amount on the napkin, I would add $10.00 to the amount on the napkin.  She guessed………… $15.00.  No Luck for her.  My wife told me to give her the extra $10.00 for being such a good sport so I did.  I ended up giving her a $27.00 tip.  I’ve been testing my luck like this since the beginning of the year and about 60% of the waitresses have been guessing correctly.  But I won’t test my luck when it comes to having a pop up canopy at a special event.

Are you willing to test your luck  at your next party, event or camping trip and not have a pop up canopy to provide shade from the sun and protection from the rain?  Instead of testing your luck, I suggest you check out the Quik Shade Decor Mykonos 10′ x 10′ Canopy; especially for small gatherings of friends, family and loved ones.  Get yourself a canopy today, pop it up and have fun.  Remember, the Joy is in the Journey.

Canopy Tents for camping

Canopy Tents are available in many different shapes and sizes and can be used for parties events and camping.  Canopy tents typically provide shade from the scorching sun and shelter from the rain but in some cases they can also provide protection from bugs or flying insects such as flys, gnats, mosquitoes, dragon flys, butterfly’s, moths and no-see-ums.  While it’s often assumed  12 x 9 ft. Dome Screen House Tent made by NorthPolecanopy tents provide shade and shelter for us poor little humans, they are actually used even more to provide shade and shelter from mother nature for things like cars, trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, four wheelers, tractors, boats, kayaks, canoes etc.  The list can go on and on.

If you are looking for a great canopy tent for camping; one that will provide shade from the sun and protection from bugs and those darn flying critters, I recommend the 12 x 9 ft. Dome Screen House Tent made by NorthPole.  This canopy tent is very easy on the pocket book and it can also double as a party tent or event tent.  It has a screen enclosure so I would not recommend it be used as shelter for non-human use as described above.

Get one of these canopy tents and rest assured that on your next camp out, you will experience The Joy is in the Journey.
