Choo Choo Train and Tunnel Tent

My father worked for the railroad for 43 years.  He worked for the Great Northern railroad and then the Burlington Northern rail road.  I spend quite a bit most of my childhood at the railroad yard and on the rail road tracks or riding choo choo trains.  I’d sit in

CHOO CHOO TRAIN 6 foot TUNNEL TENT

the caboose or in the engine and pretend I was the engineer.  I spent time with Casey Jones on track 11 and Round House Rodney.  I went to Railroad picnics, parties and Christmas parties.  Those were all very fond memories and I wouldn’t give them up for anything.

The railroad industry isn’t what it once was but everything associated with trains and the railroad is still fun for kids.  Start your child out young and get a Choo Choo train tunnel tent.  This tunnel tent looks like a train and kids can crawl inside the front to pretend they are an engineer.  Or they can crawl into the back of the tunnel tent and pretend they are the caboose attendant.  And if they want, they can crawl into the middle of the tunnel tent and pretend to be a passenger.

Peek-A-Boo, I see you.  These six words are a frequently spoken to babies.  We say them to get their attention and when we are trying to make them smile.  By covering and uncovering our eyes, we show them we can be gone for a second but we always come back.  Babies learn to trust us through these 6 words and our actions.  As babies grow older, they take comfort in hearing these words, the same ones they heard shortly after Peek-A-Boo, I See U Tunnel Tentopening their eyes for the first time.

Tunnel Tents offer your child a chance to play this game with you except they are the ones hiding for a few seconds now.   They can see you through some tunnel tent material while they are crawling through the tunnel tent.

Children love being in small places so tunnel tents are perfect fun for them.  The “Peek-A-Boo, I See You” Tunnel Tent from PAcific Play Tents is an excellent tent for your children and you.

Check it out and remember, The Joy is in the Journey.

Playing With McKenna Kaye and Her New Tunnel Tent

My oldest daughter Jenny just gave birth to her first child and my first granddaughter. McKenna Kaye was born February 11 at 6:19pm in Waconia, MN.  She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 18.5 inches long. She is cute as a button. McKenna has her moms’ nose and her dads’ eyes. As I stared at my granddaughter for the first time, many thoughts ran through my head regarding all the things I had done with my own daughter, Jenny, as she grew up into the wonderful person she has become. I taught her how to ride a bike, fish, play soccer, and play softball and how to swim.

Playing with McKenna Kaye and her Kids TentWe are very close and I teared up a little while watching McKenna. The longer I watched her, the more I would remember. One of my very fond memories of raising Jenny was going camping and spending time in a tent. To this very day, Jenny and her husband Justin go camping often and they frequently take Jenny’s step daughter, Baylee, and stepson Austin. My wife, Kay, and I join them and always enjoy the fun of camping with family. In November 2009 I started a small internet business selling tents and accessories. One of the categories of tents I sell is Kids tents and another is tunnel tents for kids.

Tunnel Tents

While watching McKenna I could not help but think about what it might be like playing with her in one of the kids tents or tunnel tents 3 years from now. The kids’ tents are so cute and come in many colors, shapes and sizes. For example, I sell a variety of tunnel tents so we can play hide and seek together in the future. The tunnel tents have a funny face on one end that looks like a bumble bee or a monkey, a penguin, or even a centipede. Some of the front ends look like a basketball, soccer ball or a skeleton. I imagine it would be very fun to play hide and seek games with McKenna in any of these tunnel tents. McKenna might even get a little puppy when she grows up and it would be fun to play hide and seek with her and the puppy in a tunnel tent.

Kids Tents

Besides tunnel tents we sell a lot of other kids tents. For example, we sell “The Maverick” which is an airplane tent for boys. McKenna has a cousin named Jacob who is 4 years old today and I know he would enjoy this tent and pretend being an airline pilot. When McKenna gets to be about 5 years old, Jacob will be 7 years old and I imagine Jacob taking his little cousin on a pretend flight to faraway places like Africa, Australia and Alaska. We also sell a variety of bed tents McKenna and Jacob can put on top of their bed and play inside. Some of these even come with a sleeping bag. We also have castle tents where McKenna can pretend to be a queen or princess and Jacob can pretend to be King of the castle.

Summary

As I looked up from my granddaughter in the hospital on the day she was born and I looked at my daughter Jenny, my chest burst with joy and pride. So many memories raced through my mind and look forward to sharing many experiences with McKenna and Jacob in the future and many of those will be with kids’ tents, camping tents and tunnel tents. As I have always said: “The Joy is in the Journey”. Perhaps you have already experienced many of the same experiences above with your children too. If so, I am happy for you. But playing with grandchildren is awesome and I look forward to many years ahead playing with my grandchildren.
